SBTRKT // “Never Never”
@SBTRKT put out one of the best albums of the year. Comparisons to James Blake and Flying Lotus aside (NBD, right?), the overall experience of this album yields some serious encounters with romantic feelings and cerebral synapses going off.
Combining serious electronic-music-lover bass with pop vocals can yield disaster, but SBTRKT managed to succeed with that mix in 11 tracks.
There’s also a cameo from Little Dragon on the track “Wildfire”, which is just as beautiful as the song above.
I really love this album. It’s one of those errday albums.
